Belgian company ‘Ma Balise’ wins EU Cross-Border E-commerce Award 2021

On December 1, the Belgian company Ma Balise, which specializes in digital marketing, won the award for best innovation at the EU Cross Border forum (EU CBEC), the international e-commerce trade show held every year at Liège airport. Intended to advise and support European & Belgian SMEs active in the retail trade to embark on international e-commerce, the the EU CBEC wished with this prize to highlight the importance of e-commerce to follow the current consumer behavior, to develop and remain competitive internationally. An issue that has become essential for Belgian and especially Walloon companies.

We have launched for the first time this year the awarding of an Award to a company proposing an innovative project aimed concretely at the digital transformation of companies on one or more stages of the retail value chain, explains Michel Kempeneers Managing Director of the Directorate General for International Affairs at the Walloon Agency for Exports and Foreign Investments (AWEX). These solutions concretely help our companies in their internationalization through e-commerce. »

This is the project submitted by the Belgian company Ma Balise, which offers a digital marketing solution to generate more traffic, more leads and more consumer engagement thanks to QR codes or NFC tags.

“The QR codes as well as the NFC tags respond to the customer’s need in real time. The platform developed by Ma Balise allows consumers to benefit from a customer experience with content that is perfectly suited to reading on smartphones. This results in better consumer engagement by building loyalty. explains Philippe Henin, manager of Ma Balise. We are very proud to have won this award against competition from projects from all over Europe.

Organized since 2019, this forum for meetings between professionals and beginners in global online commerce offers practical demonstrations (including live streams with Asian countries) and workshops on digital solutions for the retail sector. Year after year, the EU CBEC Forum aims to expand the number of e-commerce and international supply chain players to get involved around this unmissable event and to create a strong community to support SMEs on their path to digitalization.
